Gutter Installation & Repair in Camas, WA
Seamless Gutter Installation and Repair in Camas, WA: Right in Our Own Backyard
Camas, Washington, sits along the Columbia River in the eastern hills of Clark County, approximately 15 miles east of Vancouver and directly across the river from Troutdale, Oregon. With a 2020 population of 26,065 and a median household income among the highest in Clark County, Camas has grown from a paper mill town into one of the most sought-after residential communities in the entire Portland-Vancouver metro. That growth has produced a housing stock spanning from modest mid-century bungalows near downtown to high-value custom homes on Prune Hill and in newer subdivisions throughout the city’s eastern reach.
Citywide Custom Gutter is headquartered right here in Camas. We are not a company that serves Camas from Portland. We are a Camas company. Owner Shayne Wade and his crew have been installing seamless gutter systems on Camas homes for over 30 years. Every gutter run is formed on-site to fit your roofline exactly.

Why Camas Homes, From Mill-Era Bungalows to Prune Hill Custom Builds, All Face the Same Gutter Challenge
- Camas’s population has grown more than 110 percent since 2000, making it one of the fastest-growing cities in Washington State. That growth produced waves of residential construction across different eras: post-war housing near downtown, 1980s and 90s subdivisions in mid-Camas, and high-end custom homes built in the 2000s and 2010s on Prune Hill and along the Columbia River corridor. Each construction era has its own gutter profile and failure timeline.
- Camas lies along the Columbia River, directly exposed to weather systems that move through the Columbia Gorge. Gorge weather events deliver high-velocity winds and concentrated rainfall that stress gutter hangers and joints faster than typical Portland metro conditions do. Homes on elevated terrain like Prune Hill face additional wind exposure, which accelerates hanger fatigue in older systems.
- Homes built in the 1970s and 80s during Camas’s first major residential expansion period now have gutter systems that are 40 to 50 years old. Sectional aluminum gutters from that era have cycled through their sealants multiple times in the PNW climate. Many are leaking at joints, sagging at hangers, or discharging water back toward foundations rather than away from them.
- Camas’s high homeownership rate of 77.7 percent and high median home values mean residents have a strong motivation to protect their investment. Failed gutters that cause fascia rot, foundation moisture, or landscaping erosion show up on home inspections and reduce property value.
- As a Camas-based business, Citywide Custom Gutter is licensed in Washington, fully insured, and able to respond quickly to any address in the city. We provide written estimates before any work begins.
Gutter Services for Camas Homeowners and Property Owners
Seamless Gutter Installation
We form every gutter run on-site in Camas using a truck-mounted machine that extrudes continuous, seamless aluminum channel to the exact dimensions of your roofline. Whether your home is a compact bungalow near downtown or a custom multi-level build on Prune Hill, every piece fits precisely with no mid-run seams to fail. Most Camas installations finish in a single visit.
Gutter Repair and Rehang
Not every Camas gutter needs full replacement. If your system has isolated hanger failures or open joints on an otherwise sound run, targeted repair is the right call. We assess every system honestly during the estimate visit and tell you exactly what the condition warrants: repair or replace, before any work begins.
Leaf Relief Gutter Guards
Camas sits at the edge of significant conifer and deciduous tree cover, particularly in established neighborhoods and on the wooded slopes of Prune Hill. Leaf Relief micro-mesh gutter protection keeps debris out year-round, reducing cleaning frequency and preventing the overflow events that cause fascia rot and foundation moisture intrusion.
Downspout Installation and Drainage Planning
Camas’s varied terrain, from flat downtown lots to steeply sloped Prune Hill properties, creates a range of drainage challenges. We size and position downspouts for each property’s specific grade and Columbia Gorge rainfall conditions, extending discharge points far enough to protect foundations and landscaping on every lot type.

What Camas Homeowners Say About Citywide Custom Gutter
Terri Roche, Camas, WA (Google, 5 stars): “Both Jacob and James did a great job on my project. The cleanup is what impressed me the most. They took the time to clean not only my sidewalks, but also the spider webs off the house, and cleared my driveway of pinecones with their blower. ABOVE and beyond customer service!”
Dexter Danielson, Camas, WA (Google, 5 stars): “They are honest. They refunded some of my money because they didn’t need as much material as they originally estimated. I really appreciate their work and honesty.”
Questions Camas Homeowners Ask Before Scheduling
Is Citywide Custom Gutter actually based in Camas?
Yes. Citywide Custom Gutter LLC is headquartered at 1738 SE 8th Ave, Suite E, Camas, WA 98607. Owner Shayne Wade has been operating in Camas and Clark County for over 30 years. We are not a Portland company extending into Washington. We are a Clark County company that has served this specific community since before Camas’s major growth period began.
My home is on Prune Hill. Are steep-slope properties more difficult to work on?
Prune Hill properties present some additional considerations: steeper roof pitches, longer gutter runs on multi-level facades, and wind exposure from the Columbia Gorge that stresses hangers more than typical flat-lot homes. Because we form every gutter on-site and measure each roofline individually, we account for all of those factors during the estimate. Prune Hill jobs are well within our experience and are completed in a single visit in most cases.
How does the Columbia Gorge weather affect gutters differently than typical Portland rain?
The Columbia Gorge acts as a wind and weather channel between the coast and the interior, concentrating high-velocity wind events that hit Camas harder than they do communities farther from the river corridor. Those wind events stress gutter hangers by pulling sections away from the fascia, especially on older systems where the hanger screws have already loosened from wood fascia that has softened over decades. Gorge rainfall events also tend to be more intense and shorter-duration than typical metro drizzle, which tests whether gutter pitch and downspout capacity are adequate. For Camas homes, we often recommend verifying downspout spacing during the estimate rather than assuming standard placement is sufficient.
How long does a typical Camas gutter installation take?
Most single-family residential installations in Camas are completed in two to four hours. We arrive with a truck-mounted forming machine, remove the old gutters, inspect the fascia, form and install the new seamless system, and clean up, all in one visit. Larger custom homes on Prune Hill with complex rooflines may take longer, but we do not leave a job unfinished between visits.
Do you serve the newer Camas subdivisions east of downtown?
Yes. We serve all of Camas, including the newer subdivisions in east Camas, properties along the Columbia River, established neighborhoods near downtown, and everything on and around Prune Hill. Call 360-835-9900 or use the online estimate form for any address in the city.
Camas, WA: From Henry Pittock’s Paper Mill to Clark County’s Wealthiest City
Camas takes its name from the camas lily, a plant with an edible bulb that Indigenous peoples of the region harvested for thousands of years from the wetlands and prairies along the Columbia River. The area was explored by the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1805 and 1806, and the first permanent Euro-American settlement grew around a paper mill established in 1883 by the LaCamas Colony Company with backing from Henry L. Pittock, the Portland-based publisher of The Oregonian. Pittock needed reliable water pressure to power his papermaking machines, and the lakes behind the LaCamas region provided it. The original townsite was called LaCamas, and the paper mill, eventually taken over by Crown-Zellerbach and later Georgia-Pacific, anchored the community’s economy for more than a century.
Camas was officially incorporated on June 18, 1906, and remained a compact mill town through most of the twentieth century. Its transformation into a high-growth residential community began in earnest in the late 1990s and accelerated through the 2000s and 2010s, as Clark County’s overall population surge brought buyers seeking larger lots, top-rated schools, and proximity to the Portland metro without Portland prices. Today, Camas is home to 26,065 residents, a figure that has more than doubled since 2000, and is the wealthiest city in Clark County by median household income. The Georgia-Pacific paper mill still operates on the west end of downtown, and the Camas High School sports teams are still called the Papermakers.
